Greek students seek to learn Russian

Residents of different countries want to get acquainted with the culture and history of Russia, so the interest in learning the Russian language in the world is not weakening.

Director of the of St. Petersburg State University Language Testing Center Arseny Parfyonov visited Greece and awarded certificates to Greek students and schoolchildren who were tested in Russian as a foreign language.During the 10th Forum of Foreign Languages ​​in Thessaloniki representatives of the University presented the students of the Greek Center for Russian Language and Culture “Russian Word” with certificates in Russian as a foreign language. The ceremony was a great event for the Russian-speaking community of the city and students studying the Russian language, many of whom specially came to the delivery of certificates from different cities of Northern Greece.

The results of the student survey of the Center “Russian Word” showed that more than 100 students expressed a desire to study at St. Petersburg State University as one of the leading universities in Europe, and they are confident that the SPbU diploma will make their resume more attractive to employers. The most popular among the applicants were educational programs in the areas of philology, economics and management, as well as service and tourism. Also young citizens of Greece are interested in additional educational programs and summer business and hotel business schools.
